VSA arts and MetLife Foundation Invite Applications for Arts

VSA arts (http://www.vsarts.org/) and the MetLife Foundation have announced their 2nd annual Arts Connect All funding opportunity for arts organizations. Arts Connect All was developed to encourage arts organizations to create or enhance inclusive, accessible education programming that strengthens partnerships with local public schools...

VSA arts and the MetLife Foundation invite proposals from arts organizations creating or enhancing inclusive educational programs that incorporate inclusive teaching practices; provide access to students with all types of disabilities; develop communication, critical thinking, and artistic skills; involve people with disabilities in planning and implementation; provide professional development on inclusive practices to staff; and collaborate with public schools, actively engaging students, parents, and school administrators.

Only arts organizations partnering with public schools in the following metropolitan areas are eligible: Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Tampa, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; Detroit, Michigan; Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri; Charlotte, North Carolina; Portland, Oregon; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Providence, Rhode Island; Nashville, Tennessee; Houston, Texas; and Seattle, Washington...

A maximum of ten grants of up to $15,000 each will be awarded to the winning arts organizations."
